As Swansea Ranch is a ranch in agricultural reserved land (ALR) we are only able to host 10 weddings per year. The Whitebark at Swansea Ranch will be operational from the beginning of June till Mid October so its best to contact us and see what dates we have available .
We have a beautiful transparent tent , wooden tables and white chairs, bar area , silver or gold flatware, access to the ranch for photos (including pond and cabin), sound system, lighting, dancefloor and ample parking. As the tent is situated out in the beautiful picturesque fields of the ranch the toilets available are portable toilets with a outdoor vanity area including running water. Depending on your package there is also a range of decor and premium tableware available as well.
Yes there is an option to have a rehearsal the day before your big day. This is also a great opportunity to drop off any additional decor or if you have picked the basic package this is the day you can set up all your decor and ceremony space.
Swansea Ranch has 800 acres so there is plenty of room for photos etc. In terms of your ceremony there are a few options where your guests will be able to easily access without having need of a horse 🙂 These sites can be discussed with staff either in person for a venue visit or over the phone. Or if there is a different location you would truly love we will try to do our best an accommodate you.
While we provide the bar setup and bartenders in both packages, you will need to obtain your own special event liquor license and provide your own alcohol. There is a small freezer available for ice as well as numerous drink coolers, tubs, and wine buckets. You are required to provide any condiments such as lemons and limes that you wish served with your drinks. Our bartenders are happy to prep everything and even make specialty cocktails!! If you plan to have a cocktail area at the pond we highly encourage you to pick canned and bottled drinks to serve otherwise you will be required to provide additional glassware or plastic cups.
- Our little cabin on the property is included in your rental and has small prep area inside. It does not have a catering kitchen and not intended for your caterers to cook your meal within it. It is intended only for meal preparations (such as plating, heating something up, making a sauce, etc.) and for bussing.
- If your caterers would like to cook onsite we recommend one of two options:
- Hiring a caterer who has a mobile kitchen
- Having them cook outside of the cabin closer to the barn. Some caterers have rental equipment that they bring to cook onsite or you can rent cooking equipment from a local event rental company.
Yes. in order for couples to have their weddings at Swansea Ranch they are required to get Event Liability insurance with a coverage of 1 million and must include the service of alcohol unless you are having a dry wedding.
You can use the pond for photos (there is a couple of canoes available on site) however there is no swimming in the pond. The pond will be closed once cocktail hour is over and the reception starts.
- The tariff that is paid to SOCAN for having music at your event goes back to compensate music creators. We are required to pay the SOCAN Tariff to ensure music is being played legally, ethically and support the music community. For more information please visit: http://www.socan.com/.
- The fee for your event’s SOCAN tariff has been built into your rental price & therefore already included.
We love deor and want you to have your dream wedding, however, there are a few restrictions.
- Open flame candles are not permitted, although depending on fire restrictions candles in a votive may be considered. Wax battery candles have come a long way and are highly encouraged!!
- Glitter, confetti and other non biodegradable items may not be used. Rice is also not allowed due to the wildlife on the ranch.
- Hanging of new lightning must be approved by The Whitebark as there are weight restrictions on hanging items.
As the tent is located in the beautiful fields of the ranch, the toilets available are porta toilets with an outdoor vanity and running water wash station. There are rental companies for portable washroom trailers that you are welcome to rent from. Note you will also need to rent a generator for the washroom trailer.
